| Have you recently had a snarling demon sealed within your stomach? Are you having trouble keeping it within it’s cage? Do you fear that it will take over your body and wreak havoc over the world? Have no fear! All is well with your brand new... Jinchuuriki's Guide to Owning BijuuWell, to start us off, we’ll ask the most important question – What are bijuu? Bijuu, pronounced “bee’-shjuu”, are great, massive beasts with a chakra quantity unlike any other. They are essentially demons, their putrid red chakra going as far as poisoning those who come in contact with it. Each is unique and individual in many ways, from their appearance to their abilities. However, they are all alike in many aspects as well. All bijuu were descended from the same creature – the Juubi, also known as the Ten-Tails. By the Sage of the Six Paths, this horrifying beast’s chakra was split into nine different parts, as well as nine different bodies. Every body had its own number of tails, ranging from one to nine. Each was incredibly powerful with a seemingly never-ending supply of chakra, though still not nearly as amazing as the Juubi itself. These chakra monsters became known as the bijuu we have today. Every bijuu is also able to be sealed inside a human. When a bijuu is sealed within someone, that person becomes a Jinchuuriki. Most Jinchuuriki cannot control their bijuu, though it is possible. In order to control the bijuu, one must do a sort of tug-a-war against it in order to gain it’s chakra. If you win, the bijuu is yours to control. If you lose, however, the bijuu will take over. It is advised to train extensively before even attempting this. If you do succeed, though, the benefits are immense. The bijuu’s chakra becomes your own, and you have access to a special technique called Bijuu Mode. In this mode, you are using your bijuu’s chakra. Your strength and speed are increased and you are able to create limbs of chakra to help with tasks. In this state, you are even able to completely transform into your bijuu and still garner control. However, things are different if you haven’t mastered your bijuu yet. In times of life-threatening danger or uncontrollable rage, the demon’s chakra, colored red (though sometimes a bit orange), will seep out of your skin. This is called the Demon’s Cloak. The cloak comes in three levels, each of which will be described in detail below. - Initial Cloak:
With the Initial Cloak, a thin veil of chakra surrounds you. This is normally brought about when you feel extreme anger, though it is not true Version One cloak. You undergo slightly enhanced speed and strength, as well as accelerated healing. Your eyes will also change color depending on your bijuu (ex. red for Kyuubi, golden for Rokubi, purple for Gobi, ect.), and you might undergo minor physical changes (ex. Sharpened nails and teeth, spikier hair, ect.). You are able to manipulate this chakra to a certain extent, such as shooting chakra waves and blasts and forming shockwaves from roars and punches. However, they are not extremely powerful, mostly amplifying a base attack being used. You will not be able to control the formation of this cloak until you unlock the true Version One, and even then you might not be able to stop it. It will form during times when you feel extreme anger or when you are quite weakened during an intense battle. You are also supplied with a bit more chakra when this cloak forms, though you will be a bit more weakened than usual afterwards.
- Version One:
Version One is a bit more advanced than the Initial Cloak. Not only that, but you have to unlock it. In order to unlock this stage, you must type at least 1.5k (1,500) words of roleplay about being in a life-threatening situation and the time leading up to it. The actual situation itself must be at least 500 words. Please note that this must all be done in the same thread, but you may use multiple posts. Once unlocked, you are able to demand the aid of your bijuu when running low on chakra or strength. This way, you can control when you go into the Initial Cloak or Version One, though sometimes you may slip in against your will. With the onset of Version One, the thin veil of chakra from the Initial Cloak grows more dense. It appears to be boiling, bubbles of chakra rising from your body to the surface of the cloak. The minor physical changes grow more distinct with this shroud, and features unique to your bijuu begin to form in the chakra, though they remain indistinct (ex. ears, horns). Perhaps the most noticeable feature is the creation of tails. Yes, as Version One forms, so do the first few tails. The number of tails varies with each bijuu. See the chart below for help:- Tail Chart:
Bijuu | Number of Tails | One-Tails | 1/4 of the tail | Two-Tails | 1/2 of a tail | Three-Tails | 1 Tail | Four-Tails | 1 Tail | Five-Tails | 1-2 Tails | Six-Tails | 1-3 Tails | Seven-Tails | 1-3 Tails | Eight-Tails | 1-3 Tails | Nine-Tails | 1-3 Tails |
With the formation of each tail (or piece of tail in the case of the 1-4 tails) you grow a bit more powerful. You get larger boosts of speed and strength, as well as more stamina. Your health is highly accelerated and blows that would normally kill a person are survivable. You are also given more chakra, the boost higher than that of the Initial Cloak. However, as each tail forms, you retain less and less of your rational thoughts, succumbing more to the demon within. You grow more feral, going as far as traveling on all fours instead of upright and growling. You start to loose sight of the line between friend and foe, though it is not completely gone from your mind. Once the cloak diminishes, you are left considerably more weakened than you normally would be. You also experience slight physical injury, though it is not apparent to the naked eye. However, once you've mastered your bijuu, you are able to think clearly and enter this state at any time. You are able to use your own chakra to shroud yourself and escape the negative effects. You will also be able to form every one of your bijuu's tails.
- Version Two:
Version Two, like Version One, must be unlocked before you can use it. How do you unlock it, you ask? Simply type 2.5k (2,500) words of your character in extreme anger and the events leading up to it. You can spread the word count into different posts, though it must all be in the same topic. The actual time of intense anger must be at least 500 words long as well. Once unlocked, you are able to control when you can go into this state as well as Version One and the Initial Cloak, though you may still go into them against your will.As you slip into Version Two, the layer of chakra surrounding your body grows extremely dense and fits tightly to your body. It becomes a shade of dark red, almost black in color. You become something of a smaller, humanoid version of your bijuu, Version One's vague features becoming very distinct and sharp. The chakra fits so tightly to the body that facial features and bits of hairstyles are still able to be noticed, though you still retain the appearance of a miniature bijuu. While in this form, the number of tails you sprout also increases. As these increase, a layer of chakra-made bones begin to cover you, the completion of the skeleton varying throughout the body. Here is another Tail Chart to help:- Tail Chart:
Bijuu | Number of Tails | One-Tails | 1/2 of the Tail | Two-Tails | 1 Tail | Three-Tails | 2 Tails | Four-Tails | 2-3 Tails | Five-Tails | 3-4 Tails | Six-Tails | 4-5 Tails | Seven-Tails | 4-6 Tails | Eight-Tails | 4-7 Tails | Nine-Tails | 4-8 Tails |
With Version Two comes enormous boosts in strength, speed, and health. Like the previous cloak, you gain more power as your number of tails increases. You healing is accelerated tremendously, but there's a catch. When you go into Version Two, you loose all rationality. The line between friend and foe is erased, and you go after all. You must either be subdued forcefully or conquer your demon in your mindscape in order to leave this cloak. As you enter this Version, the bijuu's chakra that surrounds you becomes burning and poisoned. The skin literally burns off of your flesh (though your hair, eyes, ect. stays... [And your clothes, perverts!]) and the chakra pool around you becomes stained with your own blood. Once you leave this state, you are totally unable to combat. Locked in a place between consciousness and unconsciousness, you must either have the skin healed back onto your body (basically regrow it) or muster the strength to heal yourself. Oh, and another thing? Yeah, this hurts like heck, so no brushing it off.Once you master your bijuu, though, you are able to enter the Version Two cloak at any time. You can still think clearly and are able to form all of your tails during this time. You also will not undergo any negative effects. Ah, the Cloaks. Cloaks are fun, don't you agree? Well, besides the whole 'skin melting off of your flesh' thing... ehe. Hey, I didn't make these rules! (Well technically I did, but the anime made it like it is... >.> <.<)So anyway, I'm guessing you noticed how there was a paragraph in each cloak that said you get some plus sides in each after you master your bijuu. I'm going to bet hat you want to know just how to conquer your inner demon (literally), eh? Thought so. Well, here you go!A small thing to remember: You can't start off as friends with your bijuu. In fact, your bijuu will be extremely hateful and resentful towards you. You must slowly build a relationship. You and your bijuu may grow a bit fonder of each other as your life progresses, but true friendship cannot be achieved until you have tamed the beast's chakra.- Mastering Your Bijuu:
Welcome, young grasshopper. The time has come to master your bijuu. Are you excited? I sure am! No more random demon chakra leaking!!! Whoohooo!!! I mentioned this feat before, if I remember correctly, though I only delivered the basics. Now, though, I am ready to reveal all... I'll explain things in a step-by-step process to make things a bit easier.
Just a note: You must be a Master of one specialty and be an expert in two to even attempt this.
Step One: Traveling. What, you thought you could just master a giant demon in the middle of the street?? PSHH. Even I can't do that, and I and amazing. No, you must travel to Kumogakure's Bijuu Training Island, which turns out to be a massive turtle. However, it would be a good idea to get permission from the village first, both your own and Kumo... Yeah. You should probably bring a friend or two, though you can go alone if you want (if you dare...).
Step Two: Waterfall of Truth. "In order to succeed, we must face our inner demons." Wow. I don't think anyone can relate to this better than we can, eh? Anyway, we aren't talking about your bijuu here. Being a Jinchuuriki, you aren't going to be the most popular kid. Like, at all. People are mean, and they are going to mistreat and despise you for a while, and that's just something all Jinchuuriki have to live with. However, it's not abnormal to want for a different kind of life. In fact, you may grow to hate the villagers, and that's perfectly understandable. No matter what you say, I know deep down that there are negative feelings, though the intensity is hidden from my almost-all-seeing eyes... (Oh yeah baby, I have almost-all-seeing eyes. WUT NAO.)
However, it's that shred of hate, no matter how small, that the bijuu clings too. If you have hate in your heart, you will never be able to master the literal demon within you. In order to fully conquer it, you must first conquer the figurative one. To do so, sit on the rock underneath the Waterfall of Truth. Close your eyes and enter your mindscape.
Step Three: Facing Your Darker Side. After a few moments, you will find yourself in the same place under the waterfall from when you closed your eyes. The difference is, any friends you had with you will no longer be there and the area around the waterfall will slowly fade to white. This is because you are no longer in reality, but rather, deep within your own head.
Within a few minutes, a person will appear. This person will be a near-exact copy of you, the only differences being the eyes; they are black with red iris'. This is the embodiment of the hate withing your heart.
Now there are two steps to finishing this step. So like... sub steps? Lol. Anyway, fir you must post at least 1k of fighting your Darker self. After that, post 500 words of how you realized you were evenly matched and then used Talk no Jutsu to eradicate your hatred. Mkay? Mkay. Done with that.
Step Four: Bijuu Training Temple. Yay! You've made it this far! Sadly, all that stuff you just did was pretty much pointless compared to what you still haven't done yet. That's right! It's time for the big mamajama. The mother of difficult tasks. The ultimate quest in your life as a bijuu. THE- *is smacked across the head by Komi* Ow, okay. Well, it's time for the climax of this journey. It is time to fight your bijuu...
I'd like to make note of the fact that all Jinchuuriki have higher levels of chakra and stamina passively than the average ninja. However, they also have immensely less control over their chakra. They are unable to use the specialties Genjutsu, Medical Ninjutsu, and Fuinjutsu. The rule about the specialties can by bypassed if the user spends 3k on chakra control training OR a sufficient reason is given in the history.
Now that we’ve covered that, it’s time to tell you the basic rules of being a Jinchuuriki. Remember that no container is above the rules. If a punishment is not listed, a mod will decide. However, bans cannot be given on a first offense. (And mods, be reasonable.)
- Basic Rules:
1. No more than one character on your account may be a Jinchuuriki. I mean honestly, who wants two angsty kids with evil demons sealed within them? I sure don’t. Plus, it’s not fair to the other members.
2. Also, your character cannot have more than one bijuu sealed within them. Sorry Obito, no Juubi for ju.
3. If you are a Jinchuuriki, please be active. Due to the high demand for bijuu, inactive Jinchuuriki's will not be tolerated and will be removed. This will also result in the death of your character, as the extraction of bijuu will kill them anyway. The bijuu will be placed as "open" in the roster instead of a random village. It will be returned to it's home village.
4. Jinchuuriki may not start with a clan, bloodline, or KKG. Sorry guys, no OPness for you. (However, you are totally free to steal them after your character it made… >:D)
5. Unless the bijuu is gained IC or you have claimed a rank on a special occasion, you must start as an Academy Student.
6. If you start as a Kage due to a special rank claim, you cannot have a bijuu as well. Geez, you people are selfish sometimes…
7. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. If there is an open bijuu spot, hurry and claim it at the bottom of this thread! However, a mod must approve the claim. If they decide you are not fit to be a Jinchuuriki yet, you will have one chance to prove yourself. A 1k roleplay sample of whatever situation they see fit will be written by you and be reviewed by the same mod. If they still deny you, drop the subject and wait a while, okay?
8. Jinchuuriki death and removal of bijuu. If a bijuu is removed from a living Jinchuuriki, the Jin will die. The bijuu will be released in the immediate spot of removal and will be played by a mod until sealed. If the Jinchuuriki is killed before the bijuu is removed, the bijuu will be released into the outskirts of a random village. The village will be decided via dice roll whereas Konoha is one, Suna is two, Kiri is three, Kumo is four, and Iwa is five. The bijuu must then be fought, defeated, and resealed, and will be played by a mod until that happens.
9. Mods, released bijuu cannot randomly attack a village. They will be assigned to a mod and remain inactive until a shinobi contacts you to start a fight thread in the appropriate area. Only one of these threads may be held at a time, though shinobi are welcome to join in the fight. There must be at least three shinobi fighting the bijuu in order to start the thread, and only six may fight it at a time. This limit does not include the mod controlling the bijuu. If you defeat all the shinobi, you will retain your inactive status until a group of shinobi requests to fight you again. If you are defeated, the shinobi who contributed the most will be the one who you are sealed into.
10. Mods again, in addition to the rule stated above, a single player may choose to fight you in a thread, though it may not be private. The conditions are that they must be an Expert of their chosen specialty and must have MS or EMS. This rule is ONLY for cases like the situation with Kyuubi and Obito Uchiha, in which he controlled the bijuu to attack a village.
11. Last one for mods, if the bijuu is removed from a living Jinchuuriki, a fight will immediately commence with whoever is in the thread. If you are defeated, the shinobi who inflicted contributed the most will be the one who you are sealed into. If you defeat the shinobi, the random-selection of village outskirts will commence. More shinobi are welcome to join this thread, though the previously stated limit of 6 at a time still remains.
12. A private thread in which you plan to kill and Jinchuuriki may not be made. In the event that a Jinchuuriki is killed in a private thread, the private tag of the thread will be revoked in order to allow other shinobi to join the fight.
13. I would like to clarify that bijuu cannot be killed. They may only be weakened and sealed. Tailed Beasts also may not be cloned, fused, or separated into smaller bijuu. There are also no pseudo-Jinchuuriki. Also, the ranking of the Tails in the anime doesn't apply here. All bijuu are equal in strength.
14. You cannot go over your Initial Cloak until you unlock the Version One cloak. You cannot go over your Version One cloak until you unlock the Version Two. You cannot go over the Version Two cloak until you master your bijuu.
15. If you go over the Version Two cloak before you master your bijuu, you’re considered dead and a mod will roleplay the bijuu rampaging. End of story (literally). You’re not supposed to go over the Version Two cloak until you master it anyway, so I don’t think you’ll do this, right? Good. If you break this rule, well, you’re an even bigger moron that I thought you were (not that I did in the first place… <-< >->)
16. Once the bijuu is mastered, you must train to unlock Partial Transformation. Once that is unlocked, you must train more to unlock Total Transformation. Word counts are discussed in the descriptions of each cloak.
17. You must stick to the abilities that your consecutive cloaks give. No using Version Two abilities with a Version One cloak, even if you’ve unlocked it.
18. Just because each cloak doesn’t have a set boost does not mean you get to choose the boost. Approximate amounts are listed, so don’t go overboard. Use common sense – a little is a little, a lot is a lot. Academy Students don’t get to gain the speed of a Jounin with the Initial Cloak, baka. Be reasonable. Your post will be voided if this rule is broken and you will receive a warning.
19. One last thing. NRNA is set as an alternate universe, so Naruto never saved the world with Kyuubi. That means Jinchuuriki are still despised and ridiculed. It's still a crime to be a jinchuuriki in the minds of the villagers. So, if you're going to make a char, no making someone whose all "zomg im the best and everyone loves me! No one hates me and they all freaking looove my bijuu! they think I'm like totally epicness!" Yeahno. If you're going to be a child wih a demon, you are going to act like a child with a demon.
